So, you know we've been broke. blah, blah, blah... But I didn't realize how much my psyche changed until a couple weeks ago when we decided to splurge and pick up McDonalds for Ella & Dan one evening:
I drove up to the drive thru and ordered for them, drove to the first window, paid and then drove off. Yeah, drove off as in, paid but didn't get our food. Dan quickly caught my attention just as I was about to drive up the hill, and I reversed and went back to the second drive through window to get our food.
It gave us all a big chuckle.
And I have to say, I'm quite pleased that we forgot how to "do" fast food. That can't be a bad thing!
