last days of January

Ella got sick two Sundays ago with the flu. Thankfully it was just a 24 hr. bug.

But sweet Scarlett wouldn't leave Ella's side even for a second. She didn't eat or drink until Ella was better. Even though she's our strange little pig dog, she certainly can be a sweetheart.

Ella's been making a renewed effort to get ready for school quickly so we can have more time for family scripture study and breakfast without feeling so rushed. Last week she made her goal every day: potty, get dressed, make bed, & personal prayer in under 15 minutes. Way to go, Ella! We even got to go to the circus. Ella was elated to ride her first elephant.
