We got a fun start to our summer vacation on Friday: in one single day Ella, myself and her friends managed to swim, climb, jump on a trampoline, bike, run, walk to and from our house to Cherry Village twice, dig a HUGE cave in the sandbox, and collect an egg from a chicken. And to top it off, Ella managed to land an invitation to sleep over at Grandma & Grandpa's on the same night. Whoa--it was quite the day. I even found myself sunburned by the end of it all and it felt sooo good. What a great way to kick-off summer!
Ok, before we leave it behind us, here are some pictures from May:
I got to accompany Ella on her field trip to Red Butte Gardens. Here she is with one of her friends: Tanner.
A lady bug landed on Ella much to her delight. She got to experience most of the gardens with her new friend.
The grounds were so beautiful. I can't wait to go back with Dan so he can experience them too.
We could walk right up to the geese.
Dan took Ella on the Fathers and Son's Camp Out which was appropriately renamed the Fathers, Sons and Daughter Camp Out. Ella was the only girl there but she LOVED it.
Hanging out in the tent with neighbor Jason. It was a cold night with both rain & snow.
Ella's favorite part of camping: S'MORES.
