Cranford Fans Alert

Return to Cranford parts 1 & 2 will be airing on KUED on Sunday, January 10 & 17th at 8:00 PM. Also, Jane Austen fans: a new version of Emma will also be airing on Masterpiece Classic (KUED, channel 7 in Utah) on January 24 - February 7th at 8:00 PM. It's supposed to be the best, most faithful adaptation of the novel--causing quiet the stir at the library these days. Emma has always been my least favorite Austen novel but I'm anxious to see what they do with it. Persuasion will always be my favorite and Sense & Sensibility a very close second. Oh, and last but not least... Georgia Nicolson fans, hear, hear! Angus, Thongs & Perfect Snogging premiered on Nick the other night but is also available for rent and will soon be available on DVD. This is BIG news as it was only available in the UK for over a year now. Typical... I saw it with friends via the internet last year, popcorn crunching in the background included, so it was fab to finally see it for real. *Warning: the film is adapted from Louise Rennison's Angus, Thongs & Full Frontal Snogging and On the Bright Side, I'm Now the Girlfriend of Sex God but is definitely a loose adaptation of the combined novels. Still a laugh though...
